Police find missing elderly Fayette County couple

An elderly couple with dementia who had been missing since Saturday were found safe yesterday.
The couple, Francis and Anna Marie Shimko, left their home in the 300 block of Fourth Street in North Union between 6:30 and 8:45 p.m. Saturday, state police said.
Their car was spotted in New Freeport, Greene County, near the West Virginia line.
The Shimkos were examined and released to relatives, who drove them home.






What were they doing driving a car? They have DEMENTIA! Where are their children? Listen, I know it's tough, I had to fight (and I mean fight) my mother tooth and nail about not driving , BUT, how could you ever live with yourself if they get in a serious accident and harm themselves and others...here's a link to help with this sensitive issue:
